Lauro Golf has once again demonstrated the excellent moment that its academy is going through with an outstanding participation in the IV Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Olaz\u00e1bal Cup \u2013 International Invitational U-18 Interclub Championship, held at the Real Golf Club de San Sebasti\u00e1n, one of the most emblematic courses in northern Spain. The Academy Lauro Golf \u2013 VYPSA Volvo team returns home with a new success after winning, for the second consecutive year, the award for the best individual handicap round, reaffirming the great work that is carried out by the club’s academy. <\/p>\n\n
In this fourth edition, the recognition went to Susete Pitarch, author of the best handicap round of the championship. Together with the rest of the members of the Academy Lauro Golf \u2013 VYPSA Volvo team, he completed a magnificent performance under the captaincy of In\u00e9s Pitarch, who once again led the team brilliantly throughout the competition. <\/p>\n\n
The Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Olaz\u00e1bal Cup has established itself in just a few years as one of the most prestigious events in Spanish junior golf. Promoted by the double champion of the Augusta Masters Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Olaz\u00e1bal, this competition was born with the aim of bringing together some of the best national and international clubs to promote the development of golf among players under 18 years of age. Beyond the sporting results, the tournament promotes values such as camaraderie, effort, respect and fair play, principles that are part of the essence of golf and that Lauro Golf fully shares. <\/p>\n\n
This year’s edition brought together in San Sebastian some of the most traditional clubs on the national scene, offering a very high level of competition on a demanding and prestigious route.
